Tuning Into Function-
Find more Ease in Motion
An Ongoing Community Movement Weekly Class
An affordable way to learn and integrate this valuable information that helps us have a body in harmony with gravity. You can come to follow the logic of the series or gain a lot from a drop in!
The Rolfing 10-Series through Movement:
Taught by Liesje Smith
What does“ integrated posture” feel like by coming to notice different body areas and how they coordinate together to free up greater ease and mobility.. Learn elements of experiential anatomy that build a new and more balanced relationship with your whole body. You can experience softness, fullness and more comfort in being yourself.
Learn how to listen to your inner knowing
Have less holding and more feeling.
Have a relationship with the ground and the sky and understand how to expand from there.
This is what Rolf Movement offers: you can learn to understand what you are actually doing when you learn to relate with the earth, gravity and the sky and that will make a great difference to how you function, age, express and make impact.
This class is for you!!
It’s a process that is developed over time and that’s why I’m offering this class thanks to an exciting collaboration with Main Street Landing!
In this class you’ll develop better functional movement strategies by learning through:
attention on perception, like time, space, weight and shape
feel how the Earth and the field of gravity offers informed and wise choices of orientation, and why that matters
develop the ability to transition between inner and outer experience,
feel vibrant, alive, energized, motivated, cleared and settled and ready for the rest of the day
Substantial structural change for more ease and efficiency in your movement
Increase your movement choices and therefore the quality of your life
Release fascial stagnation and strengthen inner connected tissue
better align with your sense of self as a sense of body
have the desired effect you want to steer yourself toward: a better, more holistic choice
What’s a class like?
Enjoy a quiet morning laying on the floor with some friends, a mat, a stick, a ball, a small rolled towel. Find your feet ‘standing’ on the floor and feel the contact, as if for the first time, as you to let them sink through the floor and notice the floor rises to you. It is there for you. Feel that experience.
It matters. It gets digested and integrated. It counts!
In that rooted state, you softly watch your hands float away with the stick and feel a full and open breath come through.
There’s a sense of light breaking open tension. Fascial is flowing, clearing and strengthening.
Soft rolling sunlight moves along the high walls. We sense the ground below the building in contact with the lake outside the window, call us awake.
Locate yourself there and feel nourished by the connection with ground and sky.
Source/inspiration for this class:
Using a committed and dedicated study of Body Mind Centering® and Rolf Movement®, I’m curious about liberating habitual movement patterns, energetic blockages, the health of the fascia, emotional suffering and physical impairments and helping people more easily loosen, clear out and repair these sticky hang ups from the past.
Practicing in a group class is supportive, energizing and totally fun and empowering!
